Meet Pauline Howe who is the Founder and Director of Strands Hairdressing in Fareham. Here she answers a few questions so we can get to know her…
How long have you been a stylist? I have been in hairdressing since I was 15 – so a very very long time ! Lots of highs in that time, and hairdressing has given me so many wonderful experiences and opportunities. I’ve enjoyed trips with Redken, working with and meeting some amazing people and winning industry awards.
Which styles or colours do you absolutely love to create? I don’t do clients any more as I love training our young team, but I still do love to do a perm !
What do you love about being a hairdresser? It’s not like work – it’s lovely to chat and have a good time every day. I love the people you get to meet, and making people feel good. I love it!
Who or what inspires you to create fabulous hair? Making people feel good is inspiring.
What is your ultimate ambition? Just to be happy. So far so good!
How would you describe yourself in three words? Calm, Optimistic, Messy.
Tell us something about you that would surprise others. I had a cafe called The Hungry Caterpillar that sold 15 flavours of ice cream, but it burnt down.
