Say hello to our Salon Assistant and Hairdressing Apprentice Lauren who joined the Strands team as a Saturday helper in 2024 and is now working towards her hairdressing apprenticeship.

Tell us about your hairdressing experience so far. I am really enjoying it so far, learning new techniques and building my confidence.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing? I love being creative with up-do’s, styles and blowdries.

What do you love about being a hairdresser? I love making people feel good and confident about themselves.

Who or what inspires you to create fabulous hair? From a young age my Dad cut my hair and gave me many styles, so I would say he inspired me the most!

What is your ultimate ambition? My main ambition is to become a professional stylist and create styles to make people feel good about themselves for all sorts of events!

How would you describe yourself in three words? Determined, creative and friendly.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others. I lived in a motor home with my family for 8 months to search for a family business.
