If you are new to colour at Strands, not had your hair coloured with us in the last 6 months or having a colour change, you will need a patch/skin test done at least 48 hours before any colour service.
Colour services are not suitable for children under 16 years old.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

At Strands Hairdressing, we understand that sometimes plans need to change. However, as a busy salon with high demand for appointments, we ask that all clients respect the time we reserve especially for them.

We kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer the space to another client on our waiting list.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of any deposit paid.

No-shows — where no notice is given at all — leave our team with unused time and lost income. In these cases, we reserve the right to take payment in full for the missed appointment.

Important:

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will not be accepted via email, text, or social media direct messages.
Our email inbox and social media channels are not monitored 24/7, and messages may be missed — which could result in the loss of your deposit.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment:
Please use our online booking system to manage your appointment at any time.
Or call the salon directly during opening hours and speak to a member of our team.

We really appreciate your understanding and support. These policies help us protect our stylists’ time and keep the salon running smoothly for everyone.

Deposit Policy

At Strands Hairdressing, we kindly ask for a £50 deposit for all balayage, highlights, and foil work bookings. These services are highly specialised and can take upwards of 4 hours, so in order to secure a booking of this nature, a deposit is required. For all other services we require a 20% deposit.

How it works:

Your deposit will be taken at your consultation appointment, or we’ll send you a secure payment link.

If you’re booking online, the deposit will be taken at the time of booking.

If the deposit is not paid, your appointment cannot be held.

Your deposit will be stored on your account and deducted from the cost of your service on the day of your appointment.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:

If you need to cancel or reschedule, your deposit will be transferred to your next appointment — as long as you give us at least 48 hours’ notice.

If you give us less than 48 hours’ notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

If you don’t attend your appointment without contacting us, we reserve the right to take full payment for the missed service.
